Picture this.
Take a 17 year old horseback-riding champion who has lived her whole life
on her family's Alberta farm, and fly her to a far away place.
Like, Hawaii maybe...
Or maybe corner a handsome 15 year old arts student from Scarborough and
whisk him off to an exotic beach somewhere wild. Say, Martinique.
Let's face it, there are far worse places to study and learn.
ROAD SCHOLARS flies into its third successful season, arming ordinary Canadian
students with digital cameras and shipping them off to some of the most exotic
places on the planet. With a brand new crew of 10 from every corner of
Canada, producer JANE HAWTIN, President of AMBERLIGHT PRODUCTIONS, sends three
teams of camera operator/producers to track the teens from their local high
schools to their amazing summer excursions, studying, partying and exploring
the world.
In season three, 10 student/hosts were dispatched to unexpected and memorable
adventures in Scotland, Alaska, Hawaii, Martinique, New Zealand, The U.S. (Arizona,
Colorado & Utah), Australia, the British Virgin Islands, Belize, and Northern Europe.
